RMS 205 (LMR) Media Testing
Remanence Measurement System 250 (RMS 250), provides a fast and accurate measurement of the remanence thickness product (Mr*t), coercieve squareness (S*), and remanent coercivity (Hcr) of the magnetic layer of magnetic disk media. 32 sectors (with 3 tracks in each sector) are measured on each side of the disk in approximately 35 seconds.
The system is fully automated and capable of high-throughput quality control testing of magnetic disk media. The system can handle either individual disk or an entire standard 25-disks cassette. Users can customize the test sequence through the system's operating software. Various chucks and heads are available for respective disk sizes.
The System is equipped with user-friendly graphical interfaces which provide flexibility to usage by different user groups such as operators, technicians and engineers. Analytical and diagnostic tools are also available to provide insight into the sputtering process.
